“Through our eyes, the universe is perceiving itself. Through our ears, the universe is listening to its harmonies. We are the witnesses through which the universe becomes conscious of its glory, of its magnificence.” Alan Watts

Friday!

First let me welcome the latest incredibly intelligent and astute individual who has shown the wisdom to hit the blue button and join the rat pack. A ginormous welcome going out to Garland Girl who is the author of a great website with the interesting title of Crap Happens Acres. Welcome, welcome, welcome. Please ck out her website right away! thanks!

Now, I was staggering around the kitchen trying to determine what I was in there for when a knock at the door turned out to be my neighbor Tim. Tim is a marine who did 3 tours in Iraq and finally got to come home. He handed me a bottle of Jim Beam Red Stag cherry flavored! He said he got two for his birthday and drank one and didn't really like the stuff so he gave me the other one. Now I pour stuff like that on my cheerios so I greatly appreciated his sharing. Good whiskey delivered to your kitchen door. I don't believe in miracles but if I did this would make the list of stuff to take a closer look at. Good man, good neighbor.

I may adopt him! ha ha ha ha ha

Mrs. Rat talked me into going to Walmart  for all the crap we didn't buy last time we were there. I found me a new wallet! You have no idea what a big deal that is. It is oversized and has enough slots for all my cards. I love that!  Here is a tune to start the weekend.

Write more soon! later,

the rat

  2. Rat,
    Let this aging old sergeant recommend some serious whiskey;
    Willett Reserve. Distilled in I think either Bardstown or Clairmont in Kentucky - lime stone creek water for sure. Sir, this is without question THE bests and most smooth Kentucky whiskey that I have ever sampled. It is a tad expensive - serious top shelf whiskey cost some super baht (Thai).
