Why suddenly Care?

I notice that the recent attack on our embassy Benghazi Libya is still weighing heavily on everyone's mind. I deepest sympathy goes out to the families of those lost to be sure but I can't help but wonder why this particular attack is garnering so much attention.

What about all the other attacks?

What about the 2002 bombing of our embassy in Karachi, Pakistan?

What about the 2004 bombing of our embassy in Tashkent, Uzbekistan?

What about the 2004 attack of our embassy in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia?

What about 2006 attack in Damascus, Syria?

What about 2007 attack in Athens , Greece?

What about 2008 attack in Belgrade, Serbia?

What about 2008 attack in Istanbul, Turkey?

What about 2008 attack in San'a' Yemen?

What about 2011 attacks in Kabul, Afghanistan, and Sarajevo, Bosnia, and Herzegovina?

What about 2012 attack in Cairo, Egypt and Sanaa, Yemen besides Benghazi?

If I wanted to go back further I could make a list 3 times this long and now, suddenly everybody cares? What about the suicide attack on the USS Cole where 17 Americans were killed and dozens injured?

Let' not forget about 2 attacks on the World Trade Centers the second of which brought them down.

I am not going to voice an opinion one way or the other about why suddenly everybody cares?

By the way, the 2002-up to 2008 attacks occurred while George Bush was President. In addition to the World Trade Center destruction. The facts will speak for themselves. Facts. Ain't it a bitch.

all for now,

the rat

  1. The Cole still burns me up. Again another president that did nothing. That should have been an act of war. Ironically it was a Clinton.

With all of it, why care any more? No one else does expect folks like us.
No one cares until it happens to them directly. Sad.
